- The entire document must be visible — no cropped edges
- All text must be clearly readable — no blur, glare, or shadows
- Photos must be in colour — black-and-white images are not accepted
- The document must be flat when photographed — no folding or bending
Accepted file formats
- JPEG / JPG
- PNG
- PDF (for proof of address)
File size
- Minimum: 250 KB
- Maximum: 8 MB per file
Common reasons photos are rejected
- Glare from a light source covering part of the document
- Fingers partially covering the document
- Image taken at an angle rather than straight-on
- Document photographed on a patterned or busy background
- Text is pixelated or too small to read
Tip: Take your photo in natural daylight without direct sunlight. Place the document on a plain, dark surface and hold your camera directly above it.
