British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua makes his return to the ring this weekend as he takes on Albanian boxer Kristian Prenga in a 12-round heavyweight fight in Saudi Arabia. This is Joshua’s first fight since he beat Jake Paul last December.
Although there is no belt on the line, this is a special fight for Joshua, as it will be the first time he will step into the ring since he survived a ghastly car accident that claimed two of his friends in December.
Joshua was with his two friends Sina Ghami and Latif "Latz" Ayodele when the car they were in collided with a stationary truck on a major road near Lagos, Nigeria, on 29 December 2025.
The accident claimed the lives of Ghami and Latz, but Joshua miraculously managed to survive with no major injuries. The incident has left a big hole in Joshua’s heart, but he will be eager to win for them when he takes on Prenga, even though their deaths have not sunk in yet.
In addition to fighting for a new purpose following the death of his two friends, this fight also allows Joshua to set up an all-British heavyweight clash against his long-time rival Tyson Fury.
A win on Saturday night means Joshua and Fury will meet in a highly anticipated clash, provided the Gypsy King also wins his own build-up fight against Mariusz Wach on Friday.
However, while everyone wants to see the fight against Fury, Joshua cannot look past Prenga, as the Albanian is dangerous in his own right.
The 36-year-old has a 20-1 record, with all 20 of his wins coming via knockout. He last fought February 21, when he stopped Joe Jones (16-15-2, 10 KOs) in the first round of a scheduled eight-round fight in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
With Prenga possessing a knockout threat, Joshua cannot afford to let his guard down at any point in the fight. The Briton is the massive favourite at 1.04 to win the fight, though. Joshua is also priced at 1.12 to win via technical knockout or knockout.

Away from the ring to the racetrack at Hungaroring, where the Formula 1 train stops this weekend. Following the Belgian Grand Prix, the Hungarian Grand Prix takes centre stage, with championship leader Kim Antonelli looking to build on his win from last weekend.
Before the Belgian Grand Prix, the young Italian had failed to win any of his last three races, including the British Grand Prix. However, he did bounce back last weekend to extend his lead over Lewis Hamilton to 45 points.
The Italian is the favourite to win the race this weekend, priced at 2.60, ahead of Hamilton, who is valued at 4.50 to win, according to odds from Housebets. Hamilton’s Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc is the next favourite to win, with the Frenchman priced at 4.50 ahead of George Russell, who is priced at 6.00.
The World Cup is over and the leagues are on break, but you can still place bets on your favourite teams as clubs have resumed pre-season training. With the new 2026/2027 season just about 30 days away, clubs are ramping up preparations by playing friendlies.
Liverpool are one of the sides in action this weekend, with the Reds facing fellow Premier League side Sunderland in America on Saturday.
This will give Andoni Iraola the chance to see his team in proper action for the first time since taking over as manager. The Reds are priced at 1.53 to win, while Sunderland are valued at 5.00, as per odds from Housebets.
However, considering this is a pre-season friendly, over 2.5 goals at 1.56 seems like the logical option.
There are also a few MLB games set for this weekend, including the New York Mets’ clash against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Mets will host the defending champions in Saturday's early morning clash, with the Dodgers favoured at 1.66 to win the game. Some of the other games taking place this weekend include the Boston Red Sox’s clash against last year’s finalist, the Toronto Blue Jays.
Remember, you can bet on all the action at Housebets.
