The quarter-final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is one of the biggest sporting events that will take centre stage on another big weekend for sporting fans.

Since June 11, when the first ball was kicked, the 2026 FIFA World Cup has lived up to and surpassed expectations, thanks to the drama, controversies and the performance of the biggest stars in all the games.

It is not over, though, as the four quarter-final games are set for this weekend, and you can bet on all the action at Housebets.

However, the World Cup is not the only big sporting event happening this week, as there are many others to look out for, including Conor McGregor’s return to the UFC and the Wimbledon Final.

In this piece, we will put you through some of the biggest sporting events you can place bets on at Housebets this weekend. Housebets remains the home of sports betting, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which is in the knockout rounds.

To place your bets on this weekend's sporting events, log in to your account (or create one if you don't already have one), deposit your preferred cryptocurrency, then go to the sports section to bet on these games.

World Cup

We are now at the business end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the quarter-final games set for this weekend. There are four huge games this weekend, and here is a preview of some of these matches.

Spain vs Belgium

Spain will play in the quarter-final of a World Cup for the first time since they won it in 2010 in South Africa. Luis de la Fuente’s men will take on Belgium after beating Portugal 1-0 in the round of 16.

It was not the best of performances from La Roja, but Mikel Merino’s strike in the first minute of added time was enough to get the job done. While Spain remain one of the favourites to win it all, their performances have not really been great.

Aside from the 3-0 win over Austria in the round of 16 and the victory over Saudi Arabia in the group stage, De la Fuente’s boys have not really been convincing.

Nonetheless, La Roja’s defence has been solid as they remain the only team yet to concede a goal in this tournament. While the exciting football has not really been on full display, it does not matter now, as they are now at the stage where getting a result is more important than the performance. Belgium will be tough, though, even if Rudi Garcia’s men have been average for most parts of the tournament.

Although they finished top of their group, the Red Devils were not convincing in their round-of-32 victory over Senegal. They had to come back from two goals down and should have lost the match had the Senegalese not lapsed in concentration.

However, while Belgium had been poor till then, they gave their best performance in the round of 16 as they thrashed the USA 4-1 to send the co-hosts out. What helped them was the tactical adjustment made by Garcia, who dropped Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku.

In addition, they were also fuelled by the unjust availability of Folarin Balogun after FIFA decided to rescind the red card he received against Bosnia and Herzegovina following the intervention of Donald Trump’s US government.

With confidence now at an all-time high, Belgium will believe they can cause an upset in Friday’s quarter-final. They remain the massive underdog, though, as they are priced at 5.60 to win the game, according to odds from Housebets.

Meanwhile, Spain is priced at 1.68, while over 2.5 goals, which is our pick, is priced at 1.84. It promises to be entertaining, though.

Norway vs England

Another big quarter-final clash set for this weekend is Norway’s match against England. The Norwegians have lived up to the dark horse tag after reaching the quarter-final for the first time in their World Cup history.

Norway secured one of their biggest results in the round of 16 after beating five-time champions Brazil. Although this current Brazil is not the same Brazil of the past, Norway’s win was still a huge one and an upset.

While Norway’s performance in this competition has been down to the whole team, they would not have gone this far if not for the performance of their star player Erling Haaland.

Haaland might not offer a lot in terms of all-round play, but he has been clinical in front of goal in almost all the games. He was anonymous for most parts of the win against Brazil but came up with two clutch goals to help his side progress.

With seven goals to his name, Haaland will be crucial again if Norway are to cause another upset against England.

However, the Three Lions are fully aware of the threat Haaland poses, as most of them face him week-in, week-out in the Premier League. England will definitely have plans for Haaland, but they will also be eager to establish their dominance in the game.

Thomas Tuchel’s men have not really been dominant in this competition, but they have managed to get the job done so far. They came through their toughest test yet in the round of 16 against Mexico at the Azteca.

Playing in front of a boisterous home crowd, England overcame all the odds to secure a 3-2 win over La Tri, despite playing over 30 minutes of the game with ten men.

It is the type of win that can spur a team to victory, and England will hope the win has the same effect on them. There should be no reason for Tuchel’s men to fear Norway, as they have the better team on paper.

They are favourites according to odds from Housebets, with the Three Lions priced at 1.90 to win the game. Norway, meanwhile, are priced at 4.30 to win the game in 90 minutes.

However, considering both teams possess two of the best strikers in the game right now in Harry Kane and Haaland, over 2.5 goals at 1.79 is our pick.

UFC 329: Conor McGregor vs Max Holloway

This weekend is arguably the biggest one this year so far in the UFC as Conor McGregor makes his return to the cage. The Irish star's last UFC fight came against Dustin Poirier in 2021, but he will be making a comeback this weekend.

McGregor will headline UFC 329, where he will take on Max Holloway in the main event. Before taking his long hiatus, McGregor was the UFC's biggest fighter, so it will be interesting to see how he performs against a dangerous Holloway.

While Holloway is dangerous, the 34-year-old American lost his last fight to Charles Oliveira in March. However, he will be coming to this fight on a revenge mission, having lost the first when the two met in 2013.

Having said that, though, it is difficult to say what will happen in the match because of the unpredictability of both fighters.

McGregor is the underdog, though, according to odds from Housebets, with the Irish star priced at 2.60 to win the fight, while Holloway is priced at 1.43 for the win. If you do not want to bet on the winner, you can bet on the fight to go the distance, which is priced at 4.30.

Overall, there are 14 fights on this card, which you can all bet on at Housebets.

Wimbledon Men’s Final

Although the final is not set as of the time of writing this piece, the men’s Wimbledon final is set for Sunday.

Three of the usual suspects are currently in contention, while there is a wild card looking to spoil the party.

One of Novak Djokovic or Jannik Sinner will play in the final, while Alexander Zverev can make it back-to-back grand slam finals if he defeats British wild card Arthur Ferry in the other semifinal.

As of the time of writing this article, Sinner remains the favourite at 1.40 to win it all, ahead of Zverev, who is priced at 4.00. Djokovic, who is seeking a record-equalling 8th singles title at the All England Club, is priced at 6.00 to win a record-breaking 25th grand slam title.

Wimbledon Women’s Singles Final

The Women’s Wimbledon Singles final is also set for this week, with the showpiece taking place on Saturday, a day before the men’s final.

It will be an all-Czech Republic final as Karolina Muchova takes on her 2024 doubles partner Linda Noskova. Muchova reached the final after saving multiple match points to beat Coco Gauff in a thrilling semifinal clash.

Meanwhile, Noskova had it easy as she beat Marta Kostyuk in straight sets in the other semifinal. Muchova is the favourite, though, with the tenth seed priced at 1.80 to win the title, while Noskova is priced at 2.00.
