The Knicks lead 2-0 heading to MSG. Updated Game 3 odds, the Wemby-to-Brunson MVP flip, prop trends through two games, and our best bets — bet it all at Housebets with crypto.
The 2026 NBA Finals continue this week with a huge Game 3 clash coming up at Madison Square Garden on Monday night. The first two games had all the drama, with the Knicks taking both on the road.
The Knicks were the underdogs coming into the series but are now the favourites to win it all after taking a 2-0 series lead.
However, despite taking a commanding 2-0 lead, the series is far from over, as the Spurs are capable of producing a comeback. With that in mind, we will take you through our preview of the rest of the 2026 NBA Finals in this piece.

The New York Knicks have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the 2026 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. What’s even more impressive about the Knicks' lead is that those two wins came on the road, putting them in a good position ahead of the next two games at MSG.
Going into the two games, the Knicks were the underdogs, as they were priced at 2.45 to win both. They were also priced at 2.65 to win the finals, but that has now changed after taking a 2-0 series lead.
Jalen Brunson was again the architect of the Knicks’ wins, as he dropped 30 points in Game 1, including 13 in the fourth quarter, to help his side come back from a 14-point second-half deficit.
While Brunson was the star, he did have help from Karl-Anthony Towns, who gave Victor Wembanyama hell, dropping 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Wemby had one of his worst games for the Spurs, largely ineffective despite scoring 26 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. The 22-year-old was also responsible for the Spurs' Game 2 loss as he turned the ball over in the final seconds of the game and could not make the game-winning shot.
With the score tied at 104-104, Wemby fouled Brunson after his initial pass to Stephon Castle was intercepted by the Knicks' point guard. This made Brunson go to the free-throw line to shoot two free throws, making one out of two.
This put the Knicks ahead, but Wemby had the chance to win it for the Spurs with the last shot of the ball game. However, the 22-year-old’s pull-up jumper could not connect, leaving Spurs fans disappointed.
With the first two games done, attention now turns to Game 3 at MSG. This will be a special game for the Knicks, with the arena expected to be fully packed and bouncing.
They have not had this type of feeling since 1999, which ironically was against the Spurs. On that occasion, though, the Knicks lost 4-1 in the finals.
The feeling is different this time, however, as they are in control and are on the precipice of achieving something the Knicks have not done since 1973.
As for the Spurs, this is a must-win game for them, as no team has ever come back from 0-3 in the NBA playoffs. History is already against them, as no team has ever won the NBA Finals after losing the first two games at home.
However, five teams have come back to win the NBA finals after losing the first two games on the road, with the last team being the 2006 Miami Heat against the Dallas Mavericks.
Spurs will be hoping to rewrite history this time, but they are the underdogs at 2.06 going into Game 3. Meanwhile, the New York Knicks are priced at 1.73 to take a 3-0 series lead.
As stated above, history suggests that the Spurs are done, as no team in NBA finals history has ever come back from 0-2 down after losing the first two games at home.
However, while that is true, the Spurs are capable of winning two games at MSG, as they have the squad for it. Things could have been different if Wemby’s pull-up jumper had dropped in Game 2.
The Spurs need to just play with more urgency and be better defensively after giving up a 14-point lead in both Games 1 and 2. In addition, they will need Wemby to play like he is the player in this series because he has been overshadowed by Brunson.

Coming into the series, Wemby was the favourite to win the finals MVP. However, with the Knicks taking a 2-0 series lead, Brunson is now the new favourite to win the finals MVP.
The Knicks point guard is priced at 2.00 to win the finals MVP, ahead of his teammate, Towns, who is priced at 2.75. Things can still change, though, if the Spurs take the two games at MSG.
However, for now, Wemby is the third favourite at 4.80 for the finals MVP.
The Knicks enter Game 3 as the slight favourite at 1.76 and are also priced at 1.21 to win the 2026 NBA Finals.
Meanwhile, the Spurs are now priced at 4.40 to win the title and 2.06 to take Game 3. Spurs will need Wemby to bring his A-game if they are to take Game 3.
The 22-year-old has not fully delivered in the finals, but he is priced at 1.46 to score at least 25 points in Game 3. This looks like a good value, as one would expect Wemby to come out aggressive, knowing what is at stake.
Moneyline: This is simply betting on which team will win the game. E.g., you can bet on the Knicks to win game 1 against the Spurs.
Totals: This is also known as the overs market. Here, you are betting on the total number of points over or under a certain threshold. For example, you can bet on the Spurs to score over 107.5 points in Game 3.
Prop Bets: These are types of bets that have nothing to do with the outcome of the game. In basketball, you may see them as player bets or team bets. For example, you can bet on Jalen Brunson to score 25+ points for the Knicks in Game 3.
