The team is thin, and they have not brought in proper replacements to shore up the squad. The Lilywhites were hit by a double blow this week, losing their primary transfer target Eberechi Eze to Arsenal and Dejan Kulusevski to injury.&nbsp;

They will also be without James Maddison, who is set to miss the whole season due to a knee injury he picked up in pre-season.&nbsp;

In contrast, City look like a team ready to reclaim their throne, which they lost to Liverpool last season.&nbsp;

Pep Guardiola’s men displayed a statement of intent with a strong performance against Wolves last week and will look to do the same.&nbsp;

They also do not have any major injuries ahead of the clash, which explains why everything points to a City win.&nbsp;

The Cityzens are favoured to win, with Guardiola’s men priced at 1.49 to win the match. Over 2.5 goals is priced at 1.47, according to odds from Housebets.&nbsp;

Anything other than a win on Saturday will be a big blow and will send warning signs, even though it is just the second game of the season.&nbsp;

The Gunners are on a mission to win the Premier League season, and they cannot afford to drop points in games like this, especially early in the campaign.&nbsp;

Arsenal have a good home record against newly-promoted sides in the Premier League, as they are unbeaten in 42 straight games against teams in this category.&nbsp;

Mikel Arteta’s men are the clear favourites, with the Gunners backed at 1.27 to get the job done easily.&nbsp;

Levante vs Barcelona&nbsp;

Our pick- Barcelona to win.

Barcelona will be looking to make it two wins out of two when they travel to Levante.&nbsp;

Hansi Flick’s men got their title defence off to a good start with a 3-0 win at Real Mallorca last weekend.&nbsp;

They will now look to replicate the same performance when they take on a Levante side that lost 2-1 to Alaves in their opener.&nbsp;

It is unlikely that Levante will get their first league win of the season against Barca, as they have only won six of their last 45 matches against Barcelona.&nbsp;

As for the Catalan giants, they will feel confident of getting the three points, but they cannot afford to be complacent.&nbsp;

Barca are favoured at <u>1.26 to win the match, while over 2.5 goals is priced at 1.37.</u>

AC Milan vs Cremonese&nbsp;

Our pick- AC Milan.

AC Milan start a new life under Massimiliano Allegri, in what is the Italian manager’s second spell with the Rossoneri.&nbsp;

The Italian giants missed out on Europe last season after a disappointing finish, but will hope to get off to a good start against Cremonese in their first league game of the season.&nbsp;

Cremonese are back in Italy’s top flight again, but their record on opening day is poor. The Grigiorossi have lost all their games on the opening day of the Serie A season and are winless in their last eight trips to Milan.&nbsp;

A win for the Allegri’s men is the logical bet here, and you can back them at <u>1.34 at Housebets.</u>

Lyon vs Metz&nbsp;

Our pick- Lyon to win.

Lyon will aim to continue their good start when they welcome Metz to Groupama Stadium on Saturday night.&nbsp;

Les Gones started their campaign with a win at Lens and will be looking to back up the victory with a win over a Metz side that lost to Strasbourg. However, Lyon have lost their two opening home league fixtures. It is highly unlikely that it will be three as Lyon have won nine out of their last 13 Ligue 1 encounters against Metz.&nbsp;
